Phyllis Pollitt will be 100 years old on Friday, 20th November. She has lived in St Annes since 1965 and has lived independently until the covid experience forced her to ‘shelter’ with family. Phyllis had multiple jobs of ‘national importance’ during WW2 and travelled widely also. Sadly, she has had Macular degeneration for many years but has been helped enormously by the Princess Alexandra Home and Talking Newspapers which send recordings of local and national news. Phyllis is happy, contented and humorous She is much loved by her two daughters, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. All her family and friends especially at Ashton Garden Court where she was the oldest resident wish her a HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY on Friday.
